The “Sweethearts for Soldiers” idea was conceived and put into action by Bari Yonkers and Tonya Helman in 2006. They are two former NFL cheerleaders who wanted to give other former NFL cheerleaders a unique way to continue their support for the troops. The “Sweethearts for Soldiers” do this by producing a yearly charity calendar, boosting morale stateside and overseas with their variety tours, and continually giving back to those who fight for us on a daily basis.
