Sweethearts For Soldiers’ Snowball Express Experience in Dallas

The Snowball Express in Dallas was by far one of the most rewarding and memorable appearances that I have ever been part of! It was so much fun and I am so thankful that the Sweethearts had the opportunity to attend this event. Putting smiles on the kids faces and hearing their stories was mesmerizing. The Sweethearts made a huge impact on so many people and I was honored to be a part of it. There were over 1,300 children of fallen Military Heroes participating in a ton of special events over this past December weekend. Friday morning we welcomed the children to the Dallas Convention center in a “Walk of Gratitude” that started at the City Hall. There were many booths set up in the convention center and the kids could choose what type of fun activity they liked. We taught a cheer and dance clinic and the kids loved my routine to Miley Cyrus “Nobody’s Perfect”. Friday evening, after a ceremony where Michelle Obama gave a speech via video to the kids, the Sweethearts opened up for the band CTS. Then we were asked to perform again Saturday and open up for the Carter Twins & Gary Sinise & the Lt. Dan Band on stage in the middle of the New Cowboys Stadium. It was unbelievable touring that giant new stadium. They had tables set up on the field for the Snowball Express kids & families to eat dinner and watch the rocking concerts!! They had over 300 Veterans on Harley Davidson bikes roll into the stadium too. It was a wonderful experience for us Sweethearts, but most importantly we were so touched by these children. It was a rewarding event for everyone, and I am sure the weekend made a lifetime of great memories for these wonderful kids and all of the families. Thanks for reading my post. God Bless the USA!!
